Holiday Camp at Bosco Nilaya

Submitted by bosconrd on Oct 31, 2017 BOSCO Nilaya, Bangalore organized a holiday camp for the children of Ramanna Garden,Vinobhanagar, Vyayamashala, Jolly Moholla and Bakshi Garden from October 16 to October 18, 2017. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM, BOSCO Bangalore delivered the keynote address. Addressing the group, Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bangalore, exhorted every child to reap maximum benefits from the camp. Sessions of first day were facilitated by Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya and team, Bangalore. The topics were goal setting, unity, honesty, leadership qualities and team building. On the second day, Fr. Prasad, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli and team conducted sessions on communication skills and team spirit. Over 100 children participated in the camp.

Diwali Celebrations

On the third day of the camp, Diwali and the first anniversary of BOSCO Nilaya were celebrated. Over hundred children participated in the programme. Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Addressing the gathering, Nijalingappa, Sub Inspector, Cottonpet Police Station, Bangalore stressed the importance of education of vulnerable children and appreciated the services rendered by BOSCO. Fr. Rubin, Director, BOSCO Yuvodaya said ‘Lamp is a person, oil is love and light is a relationship. We should maintain our heart like a lit lamp.’

Fr. John M.A, Administrator, BOSCO Mane, Fr. Prasad, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli, Suresh Kumar, Police, Cottonpet Police Station, Bangalore, Josey, HR Manager, BOSCO, Prashanthmurthy, Coordinator BOSCO Nivas, Sr.Leena, Coordinator, BOSCO Rainbow Home and Nilaya staff were present for the programme.
