Task Force Group MeetingSubmitted by bosconrd on Mar 03, 2018 Task Force Group Meeting was organized by Foster Care Team, BOSCO, Bangalore at BOSCO Mane on February 26, 2018. Shivamallu, Coordinator, Foster Care Program, introduced the purpose of forming the Task Force Group and responsibilities of the task force members. Fr. Binny K., Director, BOSCO Mane, said that not only Govt/NGOs but also individuals can help to find a family for the children.
Akshitha, Social Mobilizer, Foster Care Program, explained the major difference between Adoption and Foster Care, different types of Foster Care placements, such as Kinship Placement, Individual Placement and Group Foster Care, time frame for placements such as short term, long term and need based placements, eligibility to become a care provider under foster care, children who are eligible for foster placements, rights of children and foster parents in foster families, procedure involved in becoming of Foster Parents, required documents, legal frame work with regard to foster care and roles of authorities such as CWC members.
Shivamallu, Coordinator, Foster Care Project welcomed the gathering and Jyothi, Counsellor, proposed the vote of thanks. Nineteen members from various departments such as SDMC Members, SHG Members, ICDS Supervisor, ASHA Workers, Community Leaders, and Representatives from Police Department participated in the meeting.
