Task Force Formation at BMTC DepotSubmitted by bosconrd on Mar 28, 2018 Child Rights Education and Action Movement (CREAM), BOSCO Bangalore, facilitated the formation of Task Force/Child Protection Committee (CPC) formation for BMTC officials at Depot No. 16, Deepanjali Nagar, Bangalore, on March 21, 2018. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM Project briefed about aims and objectives of CPC and task force. He exhorted task force members to actively participate in promoting children's rights and protection mechanisms, human values in their set up and about the necessity to inculcate social responsibility among the children.
Mr. Renuka O., Depot Manager, Depot No. 16, Deepanjali Nagar, Bangalore, shared a few examples where children were rescued and handed over to their parents. He stressed on the need to be supportive and encouraging to children in pursuing their fields of interest. He also instructed his staff to be vigilant, help children in need and use CHILD LINE 1098, toll free service for rescue and rehabilitation of children in need of care and protection. Seventy BMTC staff and five volunteers were present for the programme.
