Medical Camp at NehrupuramSubmitted by bosconrd on Oct 01, 2018 A Special Outreach Health camp was conducted at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Nehrupuram, Bangalore, on September 26, 2018. The Health Camp offered services like blood pressure testing, blood sugar check-up, suspected tuberculosis, and thyroid. Many of the residents were found to be diabetic with their random sugar levels reading high. Post check-up, medical advice and medication was given to them.
Health issues of children like tonsils, cough, congestion and other related problems were also attended to by the PHC doctor. Children were given medication for fever, cough, cold and vitamin tablets. The five suspected tuberculosis patients referred to BBMP Hospital for testing, and treatment. Medicines were given for the ailments identified. Hundred and fifteen residents of the area and the neighbourhood availed the services.
