Canonical Visit at BOSCOSubmitted by bosconrd on Nov 02, 2018 Fr. Joyce, Provincial, Salesian province of Bangalore held three day canonical visit at BOSCO, Bengaluru from October 22 to 24, 2018. Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, in his introductory speech, said that staff and Salesians in BOSCO were blessed to have the presence of Fr. Provincial at the organization.
Fr. Joyce said, “It takes a whole village to bring up a child”. We belong to a big family of Fathers, Brothers, staff and volunteers who are relentlessly striving for about thirty eight years towards helping the poor and the abandoned children/youth and transforming them into integrated citizens and responsible persons. He felt that it was time to give a pat on our shoulders. He felt that following the path of Don Bosco, BOSCO through its physical, emotional, animating presence, is nourishing the children and youth to live life in all its fullness.
‘Child Matters’- a book on child rights and child related issues and BOSCO Annual Report, 2017-‘18 was released on the occasion. Mary Triza, Counselor, BOSCO Yuvodaya welcomed the gathering and Shivamallu, Coordinator, Foster Care Programme, BOSCO Bangalore, proposed the vote of thanks. All the staff and Management were present on the occasion.
