Football Tournament at BOSCO Sumanahalli

Submitted by bosconrd on Nov 02, 2018 Half-day football tournament was organized at BOSCO Life Skill Training Centre, Sumanahalli in collaboration with Terre Des Hommes (TDH), Germany and Children’s Rights and Sustainability Trust (CSRT), Bengaluru, on October 21, 2018. “Children have a right to play and enjoy their childhood. Sports and games contribute to the integral development of a person”, said Mr. Reji PE, Deputy Regional Co-ordinator South Asia and Programme Coordinator, South Zone, TDH. Mr. Vinod, Past pupil, BOSCO, Bengaluru, said that the tournament was an opportunity to exhibit one’s talent and experience the power of team spirit.
BOSCO Life Skill Training Centre emerged as the winners. The winners and all the participants were awarded certificates at the valedictory function. Fr. Binny Kumpukal, Director, BOSCO Mane, Chamarajpet and Fr. Prasad, Director, BOSCO, Sumanahalli spoke on the occasion. Teams consisting of seven players from BOSCO Vikas, Yuvakendra, Sumanahalli, Vatsalya Bhavan, Rainbow Home and BOSCO Past pupils participated in the event. Ms. Ruchika Jauhar, TDH, project staff and volunteers were present.
