Formation of Child Rights Clubs

BOSCO CREAM Project organized the formation and training of Child Rights Club (CRC) members at Veerabadra Nagar Community, Bengaluru and Devraj Urs Community, Bengaluru on August 4 and 9, 2021. Through an activity, Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya briefed about BOSCO and CREAM Project. He also explained about UNCRC, child protection mechanisms and CHILDLINE-1098. Mr. Devraj K, Coordinator, CREAM Project, Ms. Archana and Ms. Kalaivani, Social Activists, CREAM Project facilitated the formation of the CRCs. They trained the CRC members on their roles and responsibilities. They motivated the CRC members to take initiatives in addressing the issues of children. They also asked the members to refer the deserving youth of the communities to vocational training courses. Twenty-two children from Veerabadra Nagar Community and sixteen children from Devraj Urs Community were selected as the club members.
