OUTREACH

Many children take to the streets lured by the dream of a good job or to lead an independent life. They can get trapped by crooked elements ruling the streets, bringing an abrupt halt to their childhood and innocence. Therefore, it is BOSCO’s devoted agenda to extend its round the clock presence on the streets, railway platforms, factories, hotels, workshops and other situations of risk through befriending children and moving them to safety and rescuing them when the situations demand.

BOSCO’s important teams such as CHILDLINE, SJPU, Child Safety Net, etc., collaborate with Police and other Government Departments in the rescue operations. BOSCO functions as the State Nodal Agency for the Missing Child Bureau (MCB) of the state of Karnataka. It works in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development, police and NGOs to trace missing and unaccompanied children and reunite them with their families.
