Vinod Kumar

Vinod Kumar, alumnus of BOSCO, fondly known as ‘Goa’, hails from Lingarajapuram in Bengaluru. Before coming to Bengaluru, he was living with his grandparents in Goa for a while, and hence he was nicknamed, ‘Goa’ by his friends. Vinod shot to fame when he received the Best Defender Award in the National Floorball Championship held at Noida in December 2016. Touted as one of the most promising players of the Karnataka State floorball team, Vinod Kumar has several feathers in his cap. Vinod started his floorball journey in 2014. He has been a consistent and integral part of the Karnataka Seniors floorball team ever since. He has participated in 4 national tournaments, donning the colours of Karnataka. Vinod was part of the Karnataka Seniors team which won the Bronze medal in the 9th National Floorball Championship in New Delhi in 2015, and later he was selected to the Indian National Floorball team and represented the country.

“BOSCO is my home, the place where I grew up. I am indebted to this organization for all their help and support. Even now, I practice at BOSCO Sumanahalli. I will always cherish my relationship with BOSCO.”, says ‘Goa’.
