Awareness Programme for Coolie Porters

BOSCO Railway CHILDLINE organized an awareness progamme for the Coolie Porters at the entrance of KSR Railway Station on March 9, 2021. The programme was organized to create awareness among the grassroots level stakeholders on CHILDLINE and to conscientize them about the role of the stakeholders in the rescue, care and protection of the young at risk. Ms. Gurudevi and Ms. Jayalakshmi, Railway CHILDLINE team members spoke about the functions of Railway CHILDLINE and CHILDLINE. They explained about how they rescue children in the railway station and the procedures that are followed. They explained about the follow-up process once the children are handed over to parents. Twenty-two Coolie Porters were benefitted from the programme.
