International Women’s Day Celebration

BOSCO Nilaya, Bengaluru organized International Women’s Day Celebration at BOSCO’s New Campus, Ramanna Garden, J. C. Road on March 8, 2021. Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya and Nivas, in his introductory note, said, “A woman plays an important role in the society as a daughter, wife, mother and a bread winner.”Ms. Vinnarasi, Team Member, BOSCO Bus Stand Team, explained about child rights and child rights violations. She motivated the women to lead the community through strengthening the SHG Groups and bring about a positive change in the society for the children. Ms.Surekha, AWC Supervisor, ICDS appreciated and thanked BOSCO for its support towards women and children.
Children from Ramanna Garden performed a skit highlighting violations against women in the society. Women were felicitated with medals. Mr. Keshav, Leader, Dr. Ambedkar Karunada Ahindha Sene and Mr. Paul, Advocate, supported the program by sponsoring snacks and medals for the women. Ms. Shalini, Community Organizer, CREAM Project welcomed the gathering. Mr. Waseem, Coordinator, BOSCO Nivas proposed the vote of thanks. Eighty-five women, twelve children, twelve AWC Teachers, Helpers, four leaders from Dr. Ambedkar Karunada Ahindha Sene and two AWC Supervisors from ICDS participated in the celebrations.
