Training for Child Rights Club Members

BOSCO CREAM Project, Bengaluru conducted training for the newly formed Child Rights Club (CRC) in Bakshi Garden Community at BOSCO Nilaya, for the children of GKHPS, Bairasandra, Bengaluru, GMPS, Karisandra, GMPS, Tavarakere, Giripuram Tuition center, Giripuram, Bengaluru on February 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2021 respectively. Interacting with the children, Fr. Regi Jacob, Director Nilaya, and Ms. Varalaxmi, Social Activist, CREAM Project briefed about UNCRC, child rights, child right violations, child protection mechanisms, CHILDLINE, etc. Responsibilities of children were explained with respect to cleanliness, discipline, education and respecting elders. Ms. Priya, Coordinator, BOSCO CREAM Project, explained about the roles and responsibilities of CRC members. Ms. Annammal, Social Activist, CREAM Project, facilitated the formation of CRC in GKHPS, Bairasandra. Children were asked to be active leaders and work towards achieving their goal. The movie, ‘Johny Bosco’ was screened during the training. Four hundred and sixteen children participated in the training programmes.
