On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bengaluru City Police East Division organized “The Ring of Women Safety” at Lido mall, MG Road, Bengaluru on March 8, 2020. Ms. Vinnarasi, Cluster Coordinator, ECCE Programme, BOSCO Bengluru was given ‘StreeSuraksha Chakra’ Awardfor her service in the field of Child Rescue and Rehabilitation. She was felicitated for safeguarding the rights of children. Other awardees included Zomato Delivery girl, Police Constable, Kabadi Player in Asian Games, C.E.O of Goodwork Labs, BMTC Bus Driver, first Transgender RJ, first International Yoga Champion, a Cancer Survivor and Paper Napkin Business Entrepreneur, Traffic warden, Body Builder, a girl for scoring 91.87% in degree from BBMP Degree College, SafaiKarmachari and Martial Arts and Self-defence Champion. Shruthi,RJ, FM 92.7 anchored the programme. These are the women who have brought about a change in various people’s lives by beating all odds.
