BOSCO Annual Quiz Contest 2020

Don Bosco Annual Quiz competition for the children of BOSCO was held at BOSCO Mane on January 25, 2020. Inaugurating the programme, Fr. William SDB, Regional Youth Director, Karnataka, said, “Celebration of Don Bosco Month has become a habit. This year let’s see what relationship we have established with him. He loves us and we love him. He is everywhere. Our love should lead us to the road of happiness.” Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru spoke on the occasion.
Eight teams representing different centres and areas, BOSCO Nivas, Vatsalya Bhavan, Sumanahalli, Vikas, Yuvakendra, Rainbow Home, Mane and Nilaya participated in the competition. The quiz masters Br. Devaraj, Br. Prajwal and Br. Chandramohan, Kristu Jyothi College, Bengaluru conducted the program. Br. Devaraj explained the rules of the programme and the discipline to be maintained during the programme. The format of the quiz involved twelve rounds. The rounds included MCQs, filling up the gaps, individual round, general round, pick and speak, deal or no deal, general knowledge round, match the following round, rapid fire round, buzzer round and audio round. Children from BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan emerged as the winners, BOSCO Sumanahalli bagged the second prize and BOSCO Vikas secured third prize.
Mr. Wali Basha, ACP, VV Puram Police Station, Bengaluru, Fr. Binny, Director, BOSCO Vikas, Fr. John MA, Director and Administrator, BOSCO Mane and Fr. CV George, Director, BOSCO ARSP and SJPU Programmes were present on the occasion. Shivamallu, Coordinator, BOSCO Foster Care project welcomed the gathering and Usha Nayak, Coordinator, BOSCO CHILDLINE, proposed the vote of thanks. Thirty-two children participated in the quiz contest.
