Tuition Center Inauguration

Children’s day was celebrated at a construction site near Majestic, Bengaluru on November 14, 2019. Mr. Santhosh Hipparagi, Asst. Labour Commissioner, inaugurated the tuition center for the migrant children who were recently enrolled in the school. He said, “Children, you must play and you must study. BOSCO has enrolled you into the school and also starting a tuition center so, make use of the opportunities to the maximum”. In his speech he also said that there are many smaller children at the construction site for whom he would like to open a crèche. He ensured that the labour department would work towards providing other welfare entitlements for the labourers and for their families at the site.
Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, spoke about the importance of education for the children. Children performed dance during the programme. Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Director welcomed the gathering and Anil Joseph, Coordinator, BOSCO Yuvodaya, proposed the vote of thanks. Thirty-five migrant children and their family members were present during the inauguration of the Tuition Centre.
