BOSCO Railway CHILDLINE organized the inauguration of CHILDLINE Se Dosti Week at the entrance of KSR Railway station in the presence of Mr. Purushotham Nair, Deputy Station Manager, Mr. Shrikanth, Commercial Inspector, Ms. Bharathi Sub Inspector GRP/KSR, Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Director, Railway CHILDLINE, Ms. Rashmi CLA/CIF and Child Help Desk staff on November 14, 2019. Director Fr. Varghese Pallipuram shared about the importance of Children’s Day, CHILDLINE Se Dosti week and the 30th year celebrations of UNCRC. Ms. Bharathi, Sub Inspector, GRP shared the functions of Railway CHILDLINE. Ms. Rashmi CLA/CIF spoke on the occasion. Along with the program the signature campaign was done. Mr. Johnson, Coordinator Railway CHILDLINE welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. Around hundred people were present for the program.
BOSCO CHILDLINE inaugurated the CHILDLINE Se Dosti Programme in Prajna School, Bengaluru where inmates from BOSCO Yuvakendra performed a theme based dance. Fr. Prasad, SDB, Director CHILDLINE conducted a session on child’s right to protection. Laws and acts related to children were briefly explained.
BOSCO Nilaya in collaboration with CREAM and ECCE projects inaugurated the Child Rights Week at Government High School, SR Nagar, Bengaluru on November 14, 2019. Mr. Ramaswamy, Coorinator, ECCE and CREAM Programmes, enlightened the children about UNCRC, its 30 years of journey and child rights. An oath was taken by all those gathered that they would uphold the rights of themselves as well as others emphasizing on the theme “All rights to all children.” Fr. Regi, Director, BOSCO Nilaya conducted an activity oriented session on Trustworthiness and the importance of Team Spirit. This was followed by a Signature Campaign. Pamphlets were distributed. Sixty children and six teachers participated in the inauguration.
BOSCO Nivas and BOSCO Child Safety Net programme had the inauguration of Child Rights week at St. Rocks School and GHPS Coolie Nagar respectively by taking oath on the theme ‘All Rights to All Children’. This was followed by awareness on child rights, child protection mechanisms, UNCRC and importance of celebrating Children’s Day.
BOSCO Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) programme held the Inauguration of Child Rights Week by organizing a community awareness programme at Haleguddadahalli, Mysore Road, Bengaluru.
