Day of the Poor

BOSCO Nilaya organized ‘Day of the Poor’, at BOSCO Nilaya and KR Market areas on September 28, 2019. During street presence, street dwellers were identified and brought to BOSCO Nilaya. Mr. Waseem, Coordinator, BOSCO Nilaya gave orientation to the group on the importance of sharing and caring. Street dwellers were guided to approach Nilaya for any assistance. Later Food packets were distributed by staff members and children to people living on the streets of KR Market and Jolly Mohalla areas. Street dwellers thanked Nilaya team and recognized the efforts of Nilaya team.
Every Saturday, food packets would be distributed at Nilaya center for the poor. Arrangements to avail the services of shelter homes and facilities to access necessary services are being considered. Food packets were sponsored by Mr. Vimal Jain, Mahalakshmi Jewelers and Ms. Brindha, Tuition teacher. Sixty street dwellers benefitted.
