Parents’ Meeting

 Parents’ meeting was held for the parents of the inmates at BOSCO Life Skill Training Centre, Sumanahalli, Bengaluru, on September 7, 2019. Addressing the parents Fr. Prasad, SDB, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli, spoke about the centre and its activities. In the interactive session, Fr. Prasad shared about the challenges youth face in society. He also spoke about the responsibilities of youth and the responsibilities of parents towards their children for their integral development. While giving awareness about child helpline-1098 he mentioned about the pertinent issues like child labour, child abuse, children begging and child trafficking, etc.
The parents were informed about the progress of the youth, counseling process and motivational activities taking place at the center. Parents were very happy to see the transformation in their children and appreciated BOSCO and its work. They requested the Director to support their children in continuing their education. Fifteen parents and twenty-six youth participated in the meeting.
