The Annual Evaluation of BOSCO was held at BOSCO Yuvodaya, Bangalore on June 18 and 19, 2019. Welcoming the guest and the gathering, Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO, Bangalore, was happy to share ‘BOSCO at a Glance’ during June 2018 to May 2019, which showcased the generous and dedicated efforts of the staff. He also shared the message of Fr. George Kollashany, Founder Member of BOSCO, who had congratulated BOSCO for its reach during the year. He felt that the two day evaluation was an exercise aimed at deepening our experiences in the field of working with children. Inaugurating the Annual Evaluation, Fr. Antony Sebastian, Chairperson, Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR), Bengaluru, said, “Let us recommit ourselves towards the cause of betterment of children. We need to bring back our passion and enthusiasm for the cause”. He exhorted BOSCO to work towards ensuring 100% enrollment and 0% dropout in schools. He ensured his support to BOSCO for bringing about 100% enrollments in the state.
The activities of twenty-six departments were evaluated on the basis of the reports presented.
The log frames of activities for 2019-20 of the programmes of BOSCO were planned. Major events, activities and campaigns to be organized during the year were also planned. The birthdays of the staff were celebrated on the occasion. All the new staff, Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Clerics Subin, Pavan and Xavier were welcomed and introduced to BOSCO Bangalore. All the managing directors of BOSCO and staff were present during the evaluation.
