Training on Counseling Organized

BOSCO, Bengaluru organized one day training on Basic Counseling for the staff involved in counseling of children, at BOSCO Yuvodaya on April 26, 2019. The resource person, Ashwini NV, Founder and Director, Muktha Foundation, Bengaluru, in the interactive session, briefed about basic counseling skills, cognitive distortions, over generalization, personalization, labelling, magnification and minimization. She also spoke about emotional reasoning, character strengths, core conditions in humanistic approach to counseling, different listening styles and different levels of listening. Joyce, Coordinator, BOSCO Yuvodaya welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. Eighteen staff of BOSCO involved in counseling of children attended the training.
