Training for Health Professionals and Anganwadi Teachers

 Foster Care Progamme, BOSCO Bengaluru organized training programmes on Foster Care for Asha Workers, Hospital Staff, Taluk Health Officer and Anganwadi Teachers at Government Health Center, Ramanagara and Gottagere on April 11, 25 and 26, 2019 respectively. Ranganath, Taluk Health Officer, welcomed the participants and BOSCO Staff.
Foster Care team gave introduction about BOSCO and its services, explained about CHILDLINE, 1098, Child rights, Foster Care concept, Group Foster Care, Individual Foster Care, Kinship care, Purpose of Foster Care, difference between Adoption and Foster Care, selection criteria of potential parents and children, age group of children, time frame of placement, legal procedures, roles and responsibilities of Child Welfare Committee. Seventy-two health workers and eight Anganwadi Teachers participated in the training. Sathyamma, Hospital Staff, proposed the vote of thanks.
