BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan, Bengaluru celebrated 5th anniversary of its inception on February 27, 2019. Ms. Geethalakshmi, PSI, JJR Nagar Police Station, Bengaluru, expressed her gratitude to BOSCO for helping children on the streets and children in difficult situations. She ensured the support of the police department to BOSCO towards fulfilling its mission of serving the young at risk. Fr. PS George, Economer, Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru, congratulated the team of Vatsalya Bhavan for rehabilitating and restoring large number of children back to their families and to main stream society.
A video recap of the achievements and successes of BOSCO Vatsalya Bhavan since its inception in 2014 to 2019 was screened. Children performed skits and dances on the life of Malala Yousafzai, Pakistani human rights activist and Kittur Rani Chennamma, female freedom fighter of India.
Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, Fr. Binny, Director, BOSCO Mane, Fr. John MA, Administrator, Fr. Regi, Director, BOSCO Nilaya, Fr. Prasad SDB, Director, BOSCO Sumanahalli, Fr. C.V. George, Director, BOSO SJPU and ARSP Programmes, Fr. Edward, Director, MCB Programme and Sr. Silvy, Director, BOSCO Yuvakendra were present during the celebration. Around hundred and fifty children, five religious volunteers and Vatsalya Bhavan staff were present in the programme.
