Foster Care Awareness Programmes

BOSCO Foster Care Programme, organized awareness programmes for B Tech. students, REVA University, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, at BOSCO Mane, Chamarajpet on February 1, 2019 and Anganwadi Mothers and Self Help Group (SHG), Members at Kantheerava Nagar and Gramina Coota, Thimmayya Park, Bengaluru on February 2 and 4, 2019. Anil, Akshita and Gayathri, Social Mobilizers, and Nandini, Assistant Coordinator, Foster Care Programme, BOSCO Bengaluru, spoke about BOSCO and its services. They also enlightened the students, Anganwadi Mothers and SHG Members on CHILDLINE toll free number (1098), child rights, Foster Care concept, types of Foster Care, purpose of Foster Care, roles and responsibilities of Child Welfare Committee. Twenty-four students, eleven Anganwadi Mothers and thirty-three SHG Members attended the awareness programmes.
