SDMC MEETING ORGANIZED

Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Project, BOSCO, Bengaluru, organized School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) meeting at GKHPS, Anchepalya, Bengaluru, on December 8, 2018.
Ms. Ravikumari, Cluster Coordinator, ECCE, BOSCO Bengaluru, spoke about the responsibilities of parents, importance of nutritious food and periodic monitoring of children. Parents were asked to avail the facilities of the government schemes for children at the government offices. Parents were asked to send their children to schools/Anganawadis on time, neatly dressed. SDMC members were asked to do the follow up of the facilities given at the school and were motivated to advocate for good basic facilities such as toilets, drinking water, capable teachers, etc. The importance of regularity and punctuality of children to the schools and Anganwadis was briefed. List of child protection mechanisms were enumerated. Twenty SDMC members participated in the meeting.
