STREET PLAY

During the Child Rights Week awareness, children of BOSCO Nivas tuition center performed a street play at Motor Parts Gujri area of Shivajinagar, Bengaluru, to spread awareness on the issue of child labour on November 19, 2018.
Nine children performed a street play at Chandni Chowk area where there are number of child labourers. Employers, employees, child labourers and shoppers were given awareness on child rights, child related issues, the need to provide the children with a safe environment, and protect them from any sort of violence.
The play depicted the plight of four children hailing from economically poor families, working in a factory. The ill-treatment of the children by the employer and the careless attitude of the employers towards the plight of the children. Pamphlets were distributed to the general public to spread awareness. Many of the employers expressed their solidarity with the theme readily attesting their signature pledging to protect children from violence.
