BOSCO Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) conducted an awareness for the children and teachers of S.L.N.High School, Fort, Bengaluru on June 8, 2024, regarding the SJPU project. Tulasi and Amritha, Social Workers, BOSCO SJPU project explained in detail about SJPU, the role and responsibilities of the social workers, JJ Act, POCSO Act, children in conflict with the law and children in need of care and protection. They highlighted the support of the school authorities and children required in identifying and referring children in distress. Mr.Nasir Ahmad, Head Constable and Mrs. Tejashwini S.H, HM were present during the session. Forty-five children and six teachers attended the awareness session.
BOSCO Child Safety Net (CSN) Project organized school awareness programme at Government Higher Primary School Pantharapalya, Nayandahalli, Bengaluru on June 14, 2024. Awareness was given on child rights, child laws and acts, child-related issues such as child labour, child trafficking, child marriage, child abuse, drug abuse among children, and the role of BOSCO in child care and protection. The team requested the support of the school authorities and children in identifying the children at risk so that they get timely care and protection. Hundred and forty students, Ms. Sandhya, HM and six teachers from the school attended the session.
