Exposure Visit to Police Stations

The children of BBMP Schools visited Cottonpet Police Station and Hanumanthnagar Police Station on August 6 and 8, 2024. The exposure visit was organized by the BOSCO SJPU Project. Mt. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, SJPU Project briefed about the police station structure and its service to the children.   He also explained the various issues related to children such as child marriage, child labour, child sexual abuse, child trafficking, etc.  The role and activities of the CWPO were also explained to the children. He shared the preventive methods, how they help the children at risk, and the difference between CWC and JJB. Mr Nagesh,  Police Sub-Inspector and Ms Shobha, Women Police Constable from Cottonpet Police Station and Ms. Pooja, D.N Police Sub-Inspector and Ms. Jyothi, Women Police Constable from Hanumanthnagar Police Station were present during the children’s visits. Hundred and fourteen children and four teachers  visited the police station.
