A health camp was organized at BOSCO Nilaya on September 1, 2024 for the tuition children BOSCO Health Care Department organized the camp. The health camp was organized with the aim of educating children about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This included not only physical health but also aspects like nutrition, hygiene and preventive care. Dr. Rohith and Pradeep along with eight MBBS students from Victoria Hospital, led the camp.
The camp began with essential health check-ups, which involved measuring the weight and height of all the children to assess their growth and development. As a preventive health measure, Albendazole tablets were distributed among the children. To make the session more educational for the children a variety of health-related games were organized. Additionally, the camp included first-aid training session, where the children were taught how to respond to common emergency situations such as cuts, choking and injuries caused by natural disasters like earthquakes and floods. The children were also educated on how to deal with burns. To make these lessons more relatable and easier to understand, the information was presented in the form of a story. The doctors provided prescriptions for those children with health conditions. Thirty-seven children availed the services of the camp.
