Healing Conntections

BOSCO Bengaluru organized a counselling training session for the staff at BOSCO Sumanahallion October 1, 2024. Fr. Joseph Dandavathi,  Director,  BOSCO Yuvakendra, Fr. Joe Konkel, SDB, Psychologist and Ms. Rashmi, Therapist  conducted the counselling session-Healing Connections.The  session began with a questionnaire designed to identify the child’s internal wounds and provided a checklist for possible caregivers. Fr. Joseph Dandavathi emphasized the value of counseling materials, and staff were given the opportunity to participate in the role plays.    Fr. Joe Konkel,  and Ms. Rashmi provided a hands-on training on Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – a therapy  tapping the nervous system to release tension, anxiety, pain, and other emotions and Integrated Group Therapy Protocol (IGTP). The primary goal of this therapy is to eliminate childhood trauma barriers. Twenty staff were participated in the training programme.
