On November 3, 2024, Sr. Mary Shamala, Counsellor, BOSCO Rainbow Home engaged the children of BOSCO Rainbow Home on a life skill, ‘Effective Communication.’ Activities such as producing objects with effective team communication and communicating with members non-verbally kicked off the programme. Girls eagerly took part in both activities, and they learned how to be good listeners, patient, ask questions, clear up doubts, deliver clear and correct messages, be friendly, confident, and have good understanding, as well as body language and body signs, eye contact, facial expressions, tone of voice, pronunciation, acceptance, sharing, respecting one another, and responding with a positive attitude, among other things.

Additionally, children learned how to communicate more effectively both verbally and nonverbally, using many forms of communication such as face-to-face, writing, phone, email, distance, messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, videos, etc. Additionally, kids learned a variety of communication skills through communication exercises. Twenty-two children benefited from this session.
