As part of their study tour, BSW Degree students from Malabar Arts and Science College in Kerala visited BOSCO Bengaluru on August 12, 2025. An orientation programme was also organized for social work students from NTNU, Norway, HAN University, Netherlands, and Akkamahadevi University in Vijayapura, Karnataka, on August 21, 2025.
Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, the Executive Director of BOSCO Bengaluru, provided an overview of the organization and its activities. He presented a PowerPoint that covered the history of BOSCO, its vision and mission, as well as its programmes and projects. Two videos showcasing the activities of BOSCO were screened, helping the students understand the rescue and rehabilitation processes.
After the orientation, the students had the opportunity to interact with the staff and the children. A faculty member expressed interest in sending students for block placements. Two students from the Netherlands also expressed a desire to undertake their internship programme at BOSCO Bengaluru. In total, seven BSW students from Kerala and eleven students from the Netherlands and Vijayapura participated in the orientations.
