BOSCO Bengaluru organized a capacity-building programme for teachers of the study centres at BOSCO Yuvodaya on August 23, 2025. The focus of the programme was on effective teaching techniques, a child-centric learning approach, developing leadership qualities within the community, and raising awareness about child rights. Fr. Johnson, the Director of Yuvodaya, addressed the participants, discussing the purpose of study centres, how to create a child-friendly environment, and the importance of education for children in underprivileged communities. He emphasized the values of love, patience, and kindness towards those less fortunate in society.
Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, highlighted the significance of encouraging children to develop a reading habit, as it can boost their confidence and enhance their educational skills. He advised teachers to instill good moral values and to educate children about their social responsibilities. The Programme Manager presented motivational videos featuring Dr. Suresh Kulkarni, an educationist from Dharwad. The HR Policy of BOSCO was also outlined during the programme. Teachers from sixteen study centres participated in this training initiative.
