Onam Celebration

Onam was celebrated to embody the spirit of unity, joy, and cultural heritage on September 5, 2025, in all the BOSCO centres. The event aimed to instill cultural values and traditions by helping children understand the significance of Onam and Kerala’s rich heritage through traditional games and festivities. It fostered a sense of belonging and community among the children, staff, and volunteers, promoting unity and inclusiveness through shared celebration. The children and youths were truly delighted and participated wholeheartedly, dancing, playing games, drama, DJ night and creating beautiful memories together.

The celebration featured beautiful rangolis (Pookalam) made of flowers, providing a positive, festive experience that encouraged creativity, participation, and self-expression, contributing to the emotional and social development of the children.  They also shared heartfelt words about the importance of the day and the spirit of Onam. The celebration concluded joyfully with a grand Onam Sadhya (festive meal), filling the air with the fragrances and flavours of the season and leaving everyone immersed in the vibrant spirit of Onam.
