The 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, was celebrated on October 2, 2025, at BOSCO Mane and Sumanahalli. The program was organized to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti and to educate the trainees about the values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The celebration served as a reminder of the importance of Gandhian values in our daily lives. The children were taught Gandhi’s principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity, and how these values can guide one’s life. It was made known that October 2 is observed as the International Day of Non-Violence by the United Nations and highlighted the contribution of Lal Bahadur Shastri and the celebration of his birthday on the same day, who gave the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.” Trainees and children learned about the impact of non-violence and self-discipline. It was an inspiring day filled with meaningful activities that encouraged everyone to live more consciously and responsibly. Eleven children from BOSCO Mane and thirty-seven trainees from BOSCO Sumanahalli participated in the celebrations.
