A refresher training was organized for the staff of the Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and the programme staff on Team building and teamwork, Basic skills for understanding and dealing with CCI children, Legal provisions for the children, CWC procedures, SOPs and JJ Act-related matters at BOSCO Yuvodaya on October 31, 2025.   Ms. Abhikshita S Naik, PhD Scholar, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, conducted interactive, activity-based sessions covering key topics including understanding children’s situations, empathy, client management, effective counselling skills and techniques, applied psychological approaches like Bio-Social Theory, social-environmental approach, effective listening skills, effective communication skills, socio-cultural theory, intelligence quotient, emotional quotient, social quotient, intellectual quotient, and effective ventilation techniques for stress management of both staff and children.   

Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, reviewed the standard operating procedures and the checklist for the CCIs. Mr Tippeswamy, Programme Manager at BOSCO Bengaluru, led the session on Team Building and Teamwork. Fr. Johnson spoke on the occasion. A total of thirty-one staff attended the refresher training.
