The BOSCO Foster Care Programme organized a Past Pupils’ Meet on November 1, 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to gather past pupils of the Foster Care Programme, assess their current status, learn about their journeys, and evaluate the impact of the foster care initiative. Mr. Shivamallu, the State Coordinator of the BOSCO Foster Care Programme, welcomed the guests and past pupils. The meeting commenced with a prayer and the watering of a plant by the dignitaries.
Fr. Varghese, in his message, expressed his delight in seeing the former children supporting the organization during difficult times. He encouraged them to share their experiences, journeys, and the changes in their lives resulting from the Foster Care Programme. The main theme of the programme was ‘Memories and Growth.’ He was pleased to witness the progress of the past pupils, noting that their stories serve as inspiration for others. He described them as torchbearers and role models, appreciating their achievements.
During the event, Fr. KJ Joseph, Director of BOSCO Mane, highlighted the importance of creating a WhatsApp group for the past pupils to facilitate ongoing communication. All attendees shared enriching experiences and provided glimpses into their current lives. Fr. John Peter, Administrator of BOSCO Bengaluru, was also present at the meeting, which included the participation of seventeen past pupils and foster care staff.
