Fr. Jose Koyickal SDB, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, conducted a three-day visit to BOSCO, Bengaluru, from November 3 to 5, 2025. Mr. Prashanth Murthy, the HR Manager at BOSCO Bengaluru, warmly welcomed him. Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, the Executive Director of BOSCO Bengaluru, introduced Fr. Provincial to the staff.

During his visit, Fr. Provincial toured all the centres and areas of BOSCO, engaging with the confreres, staff, and coordinators. In his address to the staff, he said, “You should be very happy, as you are all serving the underprivileged.” He quoted Mother Teresa, who often stated that she found joy in serving the poor and needy. He encouraged the staff to give their best and urged them not to extinguish the fire within them.

Fr. Provincial expressed his gratitude to the staff for being part of the BOSCO family. He emphasized the importance of believing in their work and remaining committed despite the challenges they face. He highlighted the urgent need for more projects and programmes aimed at the welfare of children. He also encouraged the staff to strive for self-sustainability in their work, given the difficulties in securing funding for their projects. Lastly, he urged the staff to embody the spirit and qualities of Don Bosco, which would enhance their service to the children.
