The BOSCO Juvenile Advocacy Team organized the Teen Star Programme at the Observation Home, Madiwala, on October 15, 2026, to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child. The programme aimed to sensitize Children in Conflict with the Law (CCL) to the importance of respecting girls, treating them with dignity, understanding adolescent changes, and developing gender-sensitive attitudes.
Ms. Joycee Jayaseelan, Family Counsellor, served as the resource person and guided the children on respectful behaviour towards girls, the physical and emotional changes during adolescence, and the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships. Ms. Kavitha, Superintendent of the Observation Home, appreciated the children’s active participation and acknowledged BOSCO’s efforts in organizing the programme. Fr. Joseph Dandavathi, Director, BOSCO Yuvakendra, encouraged the children to make use of BOSCO’s initiatives and remain focused on their education and future development.
