Awareness in the Communities

BOSCO Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) Project conducted awareness programmes in Kanakanagar and Ramakrishna Layout of West and South Divisions of Bengaluru on July 19 and 25, 2024. The SJPU team spoke about child related acts such as JJ Act and POCSO Act, missing children, children into begging, crime against children, online safety and child helpline. They also shared about the skill trades offered by BOSCO. Mr.Harish, Head Constable and Ms. Megha,  WPC Govindaraja Nagar Police Station and Mrs. Arpitha Nayak, PSI and Mrs. Sumaya, WPC, KG Nagar Police Station were present in the session.  One of the auto drivers from the group asked for the stickers of the child helpline to be displayed on his auto and expressed that auto drivers need such awareness programme.  Around eight people were given awareness.
