Awareness Programme at Lalbagh

CHILDLINE Collab, BOSCO Bengaluru Conducted Awareness programme on CHILDLINE 1098 at Lalbagh on August 15, 2019. CHILDLINE team put up a stall and distributed CHILDLINE pamphlets to the public. People appreciated the CHILDLINE Services. Some of the publics clarified their doubts about CHILDLINE and Child Rights. The team exhorted the public to call CHILDLINE 1098 in order to help children in need of care and protection. Any child rights violation could be reported to CHILDLINE 1098.
Some of the publics informed the team about few vulnerable areas where children are found begging or selling various articles like, pens, hairbands, flowers etc. They said that several children are not going to school and are always roaming around on the streets. The team exhorted them to report such cases in a timely manner to CHILDLINE 1098. CHILDLINE team found a four-year-old boy who lost way in the crowd and reunited him with his parents with the support of the Police. Around seven hundred people were given awareness about CHILDLINE services.
