Baby Shower Programme

Baby Shower Program for women was held under the auspices of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), at Choudrupalya Anganwadi Center on September 18, 2019. Ms. Pushpa, Anganwadi Supervisor, welcomed the gathering. Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya, addressing the gathering spoke about BOSCO, ECCE, BOSCO Life Skill Training, Child protection mechanisms and roles of ICDS workers in child protection. Mothers were enlightened about their roles in child development. Ms. Meenakshi Kabade, CDPO, appreciated BOSCO and said that the functioning of Anganwadis has changed for the better with BOSCO’s intervention. She felt that the regularity, strength and punctuality of children have improved.
Anganwadi supervisor thanked BOSCO for its efforts towards the betterment of anganwadis. Sarees and bangles were given to pregnant women. Nutrition camp was organized. Anganwadi workers prepared various types of nutritious food and displayed them. Dr. Sumithra, PHC, Hosahalli was present during the programme. Ms. Faridha, proposed the vote of thanks. Sixty anganwadi workers and twenty mothers with children participated.
