BOSCO Bags Prestigious National Awards

The Don Bosco National Young at Risk (YaR) Awards ceremony took place during the Don Bosco National YaR Annual Meeting at the Don Bosco Provincial House in Guwahati, Assam, on October 7, 2025. During the event, BOSCO Bengaluru was honoured with three awards.

Fr. Varghese Pallipuram was recognized as the ‘Personality of the DB YaR Forum’ for his contributions as a member of the State-level Child Labour Elimination Committee in Karnataka. Additionally, Master Raju Burman, a fifteen-year-old resident of BOSCO Vikas, received the YaR Award in the category for individuals under eighteen. He was celebrated for his exceptional achievements in sports and extracurricular activities, including winning accolades at both state and district levels and earning a gold medal in Taekwondo.

The YaR Collaborative and Community-Based Programme Award was presented to the Foster Care Programme of BOSCO Bengaluru. This programme successfully placed 29 children in foster care, identified 137 at-risk children, engaged 430 foster care parents, and guided 875 adoptions across 20 districts in Karnataka.
