BOSCO Nilaya celebrated Christmas with the less privileged who dwell on the streets, at the centre on December 21, 2019. The programme was organized to provide them an opportunity to celebrate Christmas and also to motivate them to become child rights supporters. They were given an opportunity to watch television, have a haircut, take bath and wear new clothes provided by the centre. First aid was provided for the needy.
Fr. Prasad, Director, BOSCO CHILDLINE and Sumanahalli, said that the face of God is to be seen on the face of the poor and the less privileged. He inaugurated the crib. Mr. Waseem, Coordinator, BOSCO Nilaya spoke about the life of Jesus. Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, CREAM and ECCE Programmes interacted with the poor and spoke about the process of identifying and helping vulnerable children. Children from BOSCO Mane performed a dance. Seventy people living on the streets benefitted from the programme.
