In order to help reduce the fear of crime within the community by promoting a proactive and informed approach to safety, to provide residents with information about the types of crime, crime trends in the area, and how to identify potential risks and to teach community members practical strategies to prevent crime, such as securing homes, safeguarding personal property, and staying vigilant in public places, BOSCO Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) team conducted awareness at Bande Mahakali Temple, KG Nagar on September 13, 2024. Mr. Ramaswamy, Coordinator, SJPU Project, cautioned the parents and the community members about being careful regarding their children using social media, children in conflict with the law and children in need of care and protection. He exhorted the community people to take active role in the protection of children and creating safe spaces for them. Â Mr. J Shivananda, Police Sub Inspector, Ms. Chandrika D, Assistant Sub Inspector, Ms. Sumaya, Woman Police Constable, KJ Nagar Police Station were present in the programme. Fifty community people were reached out to through the programme.
