Dasara Camp at BOSCO Nivas

BOSCO Nivas organized Dasara Camp for children of Mackan Compound, Nehrupuram and Ambedkar Huts on October 6 and 7, 2019, at St. Xavier’s School, Bengaluru. In the keynote address, Fr. Regi, Director, BOSCO Nivas, welcomed the kids to the camp and mentioned that camps provide children an opportunity to showcase their innate potentials, build inter-personal relations, the spirit to win and let others win. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mary, Teacher, St. Xavier’s School congratulated the children and expressed her joy. Dr Megha, Dentist, enlightened the children about the importance of cleanliness and dental hygiene.
The children were regaled by action songs and activities conducted by Fr. Regi. Volunteers and staff conducted outdoor games like Human chain, Running Race, etc. Ms. Vinnarasi enhanced values of the children through the value education class. At the adolescent girls meeting she spoke about the importance of being truthful. Mr. Ramaswamy educated children about their rights – Survival, Development, Protection, and Participation. The two-day camp empowered children in various ways and gave them an insight about their potentials. Seventy children participated in the camp.
