Dasara Camps

Dasara Camps were organized for children at the BOSCO Mane, Vatsalya Bhavan, Nivas and Rainbow Home during the last week of September 2025. These camps engaged children in various activities designed to help them use their time constructively and develop their skills during the Dasara vacation.

The children participated in a range of activities such as action songs and dance, meditation, yoga, music, singing, drawing, painting, quizzes, crafts, doll-making and skits. They also took part in night Olympics, various outdoor sports and party games. Competitions were held. All children from BOSCO Rainbow Home visited the Ramadevbetta, Siddadevarabetta, Dodda Aladamara and Don Bosco Ajjanahalli. A medical camp was organized for the children of Mane and Vatsalya Bhavan by the Child Heart Foundation, India.

Br. Jubin, Br. Sam, student interns, the directors, and staff from the respective centres served as resource persons for the camps. Notable attendees included Ms. Manjula, Manager, Canara Bank, Chamarajpet Branch, Fr. Arogyaswamy Sebastin, St. Basilica Parish Priest, Mr. Mariswamy, Former Member, KSCPCR, Fr. Arogya Raj, Manager, St. Xavier’s School, Members of Southern Railways and all the centre directors.

The camp helped children develop social responsibility, good manners, punctuality, leadership skills, team spirit, cleanliness, and participation. Appreciation medals were awarded to the winners, and prizes were distributed to all teams by the dignitaries present.
