e-SHRAM and ABHA Card Registration Drive

Awareness Program on Government Schemes along with e-SHRAM and ABHA Card Registration Drive was organized by the Migrants Help Desk team at Jeevan Pragati Trust, Chamrajpet, Bengaluru on July 2, 2025. This programme was arranged to bridge the information and access gap faced by migrant and unorganized communities regarding vital government welfare schemes. This drive aimed to provide direct, on-site assistance for e-SHRAM and ABHA card registrations, overcoming common barriers like digital literacy, lack of device access, and technical difficulties. The goal was to empower these communities with tangible access to social security and digital health records.

Brief reiteration of the benefits of the e-SHRAM card, including social security, accidental insurance, and other welfare measures for unorganized workers and of the ABHA card’s utility, emphasizing its role as a unique health ID for digital health records, seamless access to healthcare services, and linkage to various government health programs under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was made by the team. The registration drive yielded tangible results, with 24 individuals successfully registered for either an e-SHRAM or ABHA card.
