Extraordinary Canonical Visit at BOSCO

Rev. Fr. Guillermo Basanes SDB, General Councilor for Missions, Rome, held extraordinary canonical visit at BOSCO, Bengaluru from February 19 to 21, 2019. He met the staff and management personnel of BOSCO on February 21, 2019 at BOSCO Yuvodaya. Fr. Mathew Thomas, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru introduced Fr. Guillermo Basanes to the group and gave a brief description about the purpose of the visit.
Addressing the gathering, Fr. Basanes, said that BOSCO staff should not only look into the lives of the young that they have transformed or are transforming but also should have an insight into their own lives being transformed by BOSCO. He opined that the rescued are becoming rescuers and the healed are becoming the healers. Togetherness is fundamental to the success of BOSCO. He urged all the staff to have zero tolerance towards punishment and be merciful and patient in everyday life. All the staff and management were present during his visitation.
