Formation of Child Protection Committee

BOSCO Nilaya organized a meeting with the stakeholders in order to form a Child Protection Committee (CPC) in Giripuram community on July 7 2021. Fr. Regi Jacob, Director, BOSCO Nilaya, introduced BOSCO and CREAM Project to the group. They were told about child rights, violations and the role of the stakeholders in the society. They were also informed about skill training programmes available at BOSCO. Mr. Devaraju, Coordinator, BOSCO CREAM Project, spoke about Child Rights Club and how CPC would be useful in strengthening the children’s rights. The CPC members ensured support to BOSCO towards its efforts in protecting the rights of children. Twenty-two stakeholders comprising of Anganwadi teachers, parents, child rights club leaders, area leaders, police and ASHA workers attended the meeting.
