Foster Parents Meeting

 BOSCO Foster Care team organized Parents Meeting for the Foster Parents at Bosco Mane, Bengaluru, on June 22, 2019. Mr. Shivamallu, Coordinator, BOSCO Foster Care Programme, welcomed the parents and introduced Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Director, BOSCO Yuvodaya to the group.

Addressing the parents, Fr. Pallipuram appreciated Foster Parents for giving life to the children. He said that, as parents everyone should fulfil the physical and basic needs of the children such as food, clothing, shelter, health and hygienic, safety, etc. He felt that it is important to understand the emotional needs of the children by spending time with them, showing love and affection, interacting and listening to them so that the emotional bonding strengthens. He exhorted parents to cultivate discipline in children so that they would grow up as responsible citizens of the society. Parents ensured that they would take care of the children with love, care and also treat them as their own children. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Shivamallu. Twenty-one parents and staff attended the meeting.
